through connection.

My roots are in Te Kao, and I call Tauranga Moana home. My work in horticulture has brought me alongside growers, Pacific seasonal workers and communities and strengthened my belief that good relationships start with listening.

Earlier in my career, I helped recruit workers from Pacific Island countries to meet the seasonal needs of the horticulture sector. That practical experience shaped how I work: understanding what growers need while recognising the people, families and communities behind every season.

My work with Horticulture New Zealand included serving as the Bay of Plenty Regional Extension Officer. I was also project lead for the five Mātauranga in Horticulture films featured here, sharing stories of growers and communities, their knowledge, and their care for whenua and wai.

Today, I’m RSE Lead at New Zealand Apples & Pears, working closely with growers on the Recognised Seasonal Employer scheme. It’s a role that brings together my sector experience and the part of the work I value most: connecting with people and understanding what matters to them.

I bring that same approach to coaching and mentorship. Making time to listen, creating space for reflection, and supporting people to build confidence in their next step. Across all of my work, connection and trust come first.
